A loving wife and mother, devoted daughter, sister and friend, Teresa Ann Perkins died on Friday, February 17, 2017 in Terra Bella. Teresa was born in Porterville, CA, on March 8 1948. She was 68 years old. Click here to read her obituary.

Teresa's personal support of the Autism Society of Northern Virginia stems from her daughter Jennifer's volunteer work with the organization’s Arts for Autism; and her grandson, Benjamin Brown’s, diagnosis in 2004.

 

The Autism Society of Northern Virginia builds community for over 5,000 local individuals and families touched by autism through education, advocacy, and support programs. Contributions will go towards Arts for Autism, a gala event that gives individuals on the autism spectrum the opportunity to perform and display their artwork in front of a supporting audience - an experience many artists on the autism spectrum have not had. Contributions will also go towards ASNV's mini-grant program, which provides direct financial support for families struggling to afford services.
