THE AUDUBON SOCIETYOF NORTHERN VIRGINIA ANNOUNCES TEACHER SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2007

Notify a Deserving Teacher:

ASNV invites K-12 teachers in Northern Virginia to apply for scholarships to
a week-long environmental education workshop on the Maine Coast. The
workshop offers field trips, cruises, discussions, and presentations
designed to help teachers discover ways of incorporating environmental
education into their classrooms. Participants will also enjoy delicious
meals and free time for observing and absorbing the natural beauty of
Maine's beautiful Muscongus Bay.

Two scholarships will be awarded to cover the cost of a workshop for
educators at the Hog Island Audubon Camp. The workshop runs July 15-21;
application deadline is April 30.

The scholarships are made possible in part by the Linda Kolodziej
Environmental Education Scholarship Fund, established by her friends as a
living legacy to a remarkable woman who contributed much to Audubon, cared
deeply about Virginia's environment, and believed in the power of education.
